The studio is an artistic/scientific interface run by Norman Maýn. B36 is the German location of the studio south of Berlin. The studio focuses on new approaches to crossmedia art as well as artistic research. The work of the studio is directly linked to the artistic work and approach of Norman Maýn and at the same time an open medium for exchange between different disciplines of art, design, research and sustainability with focus on human animal and human nature relationship.

Norman Maýn studied at the Berlin University of the Arts UdK and is creating in interdisciplinary work groups. His works ritually address an archaic primal pain, discrepancies and areas of tension in human existence and work on earth in the context of a saturated and at the same time empty society. The clear lack of comprehensive descriptions of the postmodern world is translated in Maýn's visual language particularly through reduction and omission, but also a grasp of fragile and seemingly quickly diffusing moments. Non-colors and raw materials determine the overall visual appearance. The tortured creature and human caused sorrow became central themes. The studio is mainly active in Germany and Spain.

This site provides an overview of the studio's work, selected exhibitions, works and updates about recent projects such as future plans like the founding and building of a permanent studio location in Spain – Andalusia, dedicated to Maýn's interest and work focus in and on the southern part of the Iberian Peninsula with it’s moorish influences, mixing and melting cultures, nature, music and of course art.
